About Parent Teacher Student Association
Pasadena High School  PTSA 2009-2010
Helping our kids; helping our school

The Pasadena High School PTSA (Parent, Teacher and Student Association) works with the faculty and the staff to make position changes at Pasadena High School.  Last year, we honored four graduating seniors with $500 scholarships.  We made Campus Beautification a major goal.  We have strengthened our relationship with the ASB and try to work closely with them to accomplish large tasks around campus.  We are working with the ASB to have murals painted in our stairwells.  The PTSA is an excellent opportunity to get involved at PHS and to stay connected with what is happening at our child's school.  Membership in the PTSA is open to all campus stakeholders and PTSA parents will be available during the Fall Registration week to enroll members.  We look forward to working with you to make Pasadena High School the best high school for your student.  You can contact Susan Hernandez for more information.  PTSA meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Staff Cafeteria.

Parent Communication: The PTSA is helping parents connect with the school. Currently, we are offering to send the Daily Bulletin to all parents via e-mail. The Daily Bulletin is read to the students everyday and contains information about events happening on campus as well as important dates and reminders. In addition, the Daily Bulletin is  posted on the school's web site www.pasadenahigh.org. If you would like to receive the Daily Bulletin, please e-mail Susan Hernandez.  A goal for next year is to help provide the parents with newsletters throughout the year.

Campus Beautification: The PTSA  organizes  Campus Beautification/Work Days. In the past our volunteers painted, planted trees & bushes, put in sprinklers and generally helped make Pasadena High School a more beautiful campus.  If you'd like to volunteer please contact Susan Hernandez.  All volunteers are welcome!!

It's really simple, so please give it a try right now. Just follow this link http://www.freelanthropy.com/?uid=742048e0613f7fa3 and start searching! You can support any one of more than a million organizations in their database, but of course we hope you'll stick with PHS! Freelanthropy also supplied us with our own customized browser toolbar for Internet Explorer. It has links to the PHS website and a news ticker to keep you up to date on PHS news and events. It's free, there is no registration, it's really handy and it's available here: http://www.freelanthropy.com/download/phsptsa_tb.exe.
