Principal's Message
It is my privilege and pleasure to continue to serve you as the principal of Pasadena High School.
Pasadena High School enjoys the reputation of being the largest school in the Pasadena Unified School District, the premier high school in the district, and we continue to be the most requested secondary school of choice. However, being a good school is not good enough. It is our intent to make Pasadena High School a great school.
The following quote from the recent Western Association of Schools and Colleges visiting committee report is an insight into the school's capacity and focused direction:
There is confidence and appreciation of the efforts by the administrative team from all facets of the school community. The faculty and support staff work well together, and the culture of the school is positive and encouraging. Areas of concern were acknowledged and analyzed with an open mind, indicating a willingness to improve.
The school is looking forward to an ongoing celebration of progress. The dedication and positive attitude of the staff will provide the energy necessary to embrace and achieve the goals of the action plan. The increased student learning with respect to the expected school wide learning results will show the improvement of the educational program and services to the schools diverse student population. The committee believes that with a concerted and focused effort the school has the capacity to improve from "good" to "great".
